Overview:
Primary Work Location: Blue and Orange Retail Pharmacy (Main campus downtown)
Work Hours: M-F business hours onsite. No weekends or holidays
On-Call Responsibilities for weekends and holidays rotating every 6-8 weeks.

Essential Functions:
Coordinates recruitmentinterviewingandselectionof new theorientation and training ofnew staffpharmacists pharmacy interns and pharmacy and students.
Manages pharmacist schedule workflows and ensures appropriate coverage to meet operational needs of department. Continually assesses and changes as needed workflowrelativeto departmental performance and standards of practice assuring the efficient andtimelycompletion of tasks and duties of assigned team.
Develops and ensures compliance with department and organizational policy and procedures. Ensures compliance with state and federal laws Joint Commission and other accrediting bodies that may govern pharmacy practice.
Assistswith preparation of the annual budget;monitorsfinancial performance of responsible areas and works toestablishcorrective fiscal plans when necessary. Evaluates the cost impact of services and related supplies and develops and recommends long-range financial strategies to the Director.
Develops annual and long-range goals andobjectivesfor the Pharmacy Department in conjunction with the Director Pharmacy Services; other Managers; Clinical Coordinator and Pharmacy Clinical Leads.
Collaboratesin relevant patient care areas to ensure that quality services are being provided and that these services meet the needs of the patient in hospital committees local state and national pharmacy organizations and/or programs related to pharmacy practice.

Education Requirement:
Doctor of Pharmacy (preferred) or Bachelors Degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
Masters degree (MS MBA MHA et al) and/or completion of a pharmacy residency program preferred
Licensure Requirement:
Current and unrestricted Licensure or licensure-eligibility to practice pharmacy in the state of Ohio.

Demonstration of strong clinical and managerial skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Knowledgeable of the full range of pharmacy operations throughout the department and maintain an awareness of developing trends in the field.
This individual must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate their staff.
Experience:
Three years of experience as a hospital pharmacy manager or coordinator preferred (pediatrics preferred).
