What Youll Do:

• Repair or replace roofing systems
• Detect leaks
• Clean and maintain equipment
• Repair replace or install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
• Install repair or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
• Pour hot asphalt and tar
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
• Set-up scaffolding
  
  

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Hand-eye co-ordination physically demanding; Bending crouching kneeling handling heavy loads; Large workload Repetitive tasks overtime required work under pressure fast-paced environment.

Area of specialization:
Conventional and inverted built-up system modified roofing system rigid pre-formed roofing system single ply sheet membrane roofing system.

Work Site Environment: At heights Noisy Dusty Dangerous Outdoors

Work Setting: Commercial industrial

Job Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial flat roofing
