Real Estate / Financial Services Legal Assistant Vancouver

Position: Legal Assistant
Our client is a leading fullservice law firm with a strong footprint across Western Canada.
The Vancouver office is currently seeking an experienced Real Estate / Financial Services Legal Assistant to support a busy and sophisticated practice. This role involves assisting lawyers on a broad range of residential commercial and financial services transactions including property acquisitions and sales real estate and land development matters and financing transactions.
Compensation:
Base salary range of $60000 $75000 commensurate with skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing files from opening to closing supporting a team of lawyers and collaborating with other team members to ensure accuracy timeliness and consistent followup
- Performing administrative tasks including billing and following up on outstanding accounts
- Coordinating and facilitating document preparation
- Communicating with clients regarding filerelated matters
- Conducting electronic inquiries and document filings with BC Registries and Online Services and the Land Title and Survey Authority (myLTSA)
- Prioritizing and diarizing workflow to meet internal and external deadlines
- Supporting the learning and mentoring of team members
- Assisting colleagues and taking on additional duties as required to support overall team success
Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized Legal Assistant program or equivalent
- Five or more years of experience in real estate development subdivision and/or financial services (considered a strong asset)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong work ethic initiative and ability to multitask in a fastpaced and evolving practice
- Experience with BC Registries and Online Services and the Land Title and Survey Authority (myLTSA)
- High attention to detail accuracy confidentiality dependability and organization
