Location: Phoenix AZ
Position Type: Contract Local Candidates Only
Pay Rate: Up to $23/hour
Schedule
Shift: Day Shift
Hours: 40 hours per week
Days: MondayFriday
Shift Time: 7:30 AM 3:30 PM
Weekends: Not required
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support students within a Special Education (SPED) program in a school-based setting in Phoenix AZ. This role focuses on providing direct care to students with special needs while promoting safety dignity and a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist students with activities of daily living (ADLs) including toileting feeding mobility and personal hygiene
Support students with physical developmental and behavioral needs in classroom and school settings
Monitor student health conditions and report changes to appropriate school personnel
Assist with positioning transfers and use of adaptive or mobility equipment
Maintain a safe clean and supportive environment
Follow Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and student healthcare plans
Adhere to infection control standards safety protocols and school district policies
Collaborate with teachers nurses therapists and other school staff
Qualifications
Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license/certification
Current CPR/BLS certification
Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (required)
Experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred
Strong communication skills patience and professionalism
Ability to work effectively in a school-based environment
