Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced construction Estimator for a direct hire opportunity in Gaithersburg MD with a design-assist specialty contractor

This position offers full benefits including PTO Medical Dental PTO and more!
Pay Range: $60-90k (depending on experience)

Responsibilities for Estimator:

Prepares accurate material take-offs.
Prepares substitution requests for value engineering purposes.
Prepare project cost estimate and bid for new projects.
Computes costs by analyzing labor material and time requirements.
Visits site as needed for estimating.
Manage job information and documentation for future access as necessary.
Tracks ongoing bids past bids and any other assignments as necessary.
Collaborates with supervisor on all quotes or bids for best market positioning.
Copies correct individual(s) on all quotes or bids sent to clients.
Updates supervisor on status of bids in process or sent.

Qualifications for Estimator:

5-10 years of construction estimating experience
Bachelors degree in business finance marketing or engineering preferred
Experience in business development is a plus but not required.
Familiar with standard concepts practices and procedures within the construction field.
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Ability to make sound decisions based on experience and personal judgment.
Have excellent communication and organization skills.
Proficiency with Excel and Bluebeam is a plus.
