EY GDS Consulting WAM Operations

As part of our EY - Business Consulting Team you will help our Global Wealth Asset Management and Investment Banking clients with scaling their capital market operations across their middle and back office functions. This includes working with the clientele to setup their Global Delivery Centers and a reliable and scalable operating model that will enable their requirements and growth. Additionally this role requires experience and contributions in Performance Improvement initiatives through identification of potential opportunities and driving them through collaboration and direction. This includes techno-functional role conducting finance processes assessments deep diving and analysing pain areas and coming up with solutions.

The opportunity

Were looking for Manager with expertise in managing capital market operations across client/customer onboarding middle and back office processes of Asset Managers Wealth management firms and Investment banks. The opportunity will potentially include setting up operations from scratch transitioning from client / from another vendor as well as operating in different engagement constructs (T&M Managed Services) for leading financial services institutions. Also experience in multiple middle and back office processes will be required as the candidate must have a holistic view of the business of clients in this space This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.

Your key responsibilities

• Work with senior management in setting up teams hiring. Be able to write JDs for client processes being set up at GDS.
• Facilitate and be accountable for the onboarding process chase in an appropriate manner and provide timely and accurate feedback to key stakeholders
• Set up processes communication plans escalation protocols for the operations and implement them
• Define metrics and business outcomes required from operations measure and report them on a periodic basis
• Supervise all processes and be overall accountable for the quality timeliness and experiences provided by the team
• Act as an escalation point and oversight for our offshore Data Operations team
• Implement knowledge management for the processes that lends to creation updation storage and access of the relevant artefacts documentation and tools required by the team
• Support RFP responses from GDS. Bring in the necessary SME skills to able to write responses to the relevant portions and coordination skills to reach out to teams for the other portions of the RFP
• Build and manage relationships with clients and onshore stakeholders including Business Units Operations and Technology teams
• Drive value and process improvements efficiencies automation through direction and collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders

Skills and attributes for success

• Sound knowledge of Capital Markets and exposure to Wealth Asset Management and Investment Banking operations
• Prior experience with good proficiency in at least two middle/back office functions (Client Data Operations Trade confirmation/Settlements Reconciliation Pricing Fund Accounting Investor Accounting Transfer Agency etc)
• Consulting experience is a good to have
• Proficiency in English (oral and written)
• Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
• Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
• Capability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
• Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others

To qualify for the role you must have

• CA CFA or MBA (Finance)
• 12 years of experience in Investment Banking Asset and Wealth Management operations
• Strong Delivery and People Management skills
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
