The Role

At ABC News youll create visually engaging and memorable digital experiences that turn data journalism and interactive storytelling into compelling news moments for millions of Australians.

The Job

Design mobile-first visual journalism including infographics motion graphics and interactive data visualisations.
Create accurate engaging visuals and animations that make complex information easy to understand.
Collaborate with developers and journalists on data visualisations and long-form stories.
Stay current with digital design trends and share new ideas with the team.
Explore new storytelling formats and contribute diverse relevant story ideas for ABC audiences.

Position Description: DIGITAL

About You

Youll have:

Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience.
Strong experience designing complex visuals and interactive content for digital news.
Skilled in UX/UI for digital storytelling and aware of front-end design needs.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic tools.
Desirable: 3D modelling QGIS motion graphics or video skills.
Work well independently and under tight deadlines.
Creates engaging visuals for social media and digital platforms.
Collaborative and committed to diverse authentic storytelling.
