Carries out maintenance and repair work in and around multiple recreation lodging facilities as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor. Performs the day-to-day maintenance and repair of buildings related fixtures utilities and equipment throughout the organization. Conducts regular safety inspections of all front of house and back of house spaces. Responds to work requests from guests and Lodging staff prioritizing issues that impact guests and their lives and/or safety. Coordinates with Lodging Maintenance Supervisor or Lodging staff on out of order guest rooms and prioritizes necessary repairs to return to service in a timely with the ordering of materials and equipment as needed. Maintains inventory of shop materials for effective maintenance operations. Facilitates service calls by 3rd party repair and service contractors by providing access to equipment and building access as needed to complete the work. Monitors whereabouts and ensures visitor badges are always worn by outside personnel. Conducts preventative maintenance on guest rooms and public areas on a regular basis using checklists and adheres to a schedule of doing so. Participates in schedules property walks with Lodging Maintenance Supervisor and Housekeeper Leader and records issues to be addressed. Attends educational and training programs and meetings.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Works closely with Guest Services Housekeeping and Laundry teams and maintains open lines of communication. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards and any injury occupational illness and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

EVALUATIONS:
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Must have the ability to multitask and prioritize work. Must possess a working knowledge of carpentry electrical painting cement plumbing and welding trades. Must have skill in the use of a variety of hand tools. Must have knowledge in basic mathematics. May operate a motor vehicle more than 14400 lbs to transport equipment etc. Must always have a current state or federal driver license.
RESPONSIBILITY:Works under general supervisor. Most of the work is performed independently where the incumbent makes decisions based on personal knowledge. May participate in new employee orientation and provide safety briefs to Billeting staff. Informs the supervisor in the progress of work assignments.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work requires prolonged standing; stooping bending kneeling climbing and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Lift and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance.
WORKING CONDITION: Work is performed both inside and outside. Exposed to dirt paint vapors and fumes. Must wear issued protective gear.
