Jackson Walker recognizes the importance of providing hands-on experience and career development opportunities for students interested in law firm business operations. Our internship program will provide students with exposure to various facets of business operations foster talent development and potential future employment opportunities.

The Associate Recruiting Intern provides hands-on administrative and operational support within the Associate Recruiting department at Jackson Walker. This role offers exposure to professional services operations within a large law firm environment and supports day-to-day activities projects and initiatives while developing foundational professional skills.

Location: Austin Dallas and Houston

FLSA: Non-Exempt / Temporary

Internship Dates: May 2026 - end of July 2026

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with daily departmental operations projects and administrative tasks.
• Conduct research compile data and prepare reports or presentations.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and observations.
• Collaborate with team members on short-term and ongoing assignments.
• Attend firm orientation and departmental overview sessions.
• Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality of firm client and personnel information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Current college student or post-graduate student (within two years of graduation).
• Coursework in Human Resources Business Administration Communications Psychology Legal Studies or a related field preferred or demonstrated interest in recruiting talent acquisition or the legal industry.
• Proficiency with Canva and Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced professional environment.
• Demonstrated initiative attention to detail and professionalism.

WORK CONDITIONS:

This position operates in a professional office environment with minimal exposure to excessive noise or temperature variations. Standard work hours may vary by department need and may require up to 37.5 hours per week. Availability for overtime to execute and attend evening and weekend events is required.

• The expected work schedule for this position is on-site 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
