C++ Engineer (Shell Script, Data structures, SQL)

Our clients worldwide rely onNielsenIQdata and insights to innovate and are looking for an experiencedC Developer to be part of our Technology hub to build and transform our factory systems which are critical to the business.

Responsibilities

• Approach work from an Agile mindset applying practices and principles wherever possible
• Attend and participate in all Sprint events to achieve desired outcomes
• Interact with stakeholders/Product Owners to clarify requirements and provide input into the creation of User Stories
• Responsible for estimation sprint planning and managing all their own tasks and reporting on progress
• Collaborates closely with all team members to take shared responsibility for the sprint backlog and the teams success
• Develops new or amended features resolves bugs and carries out other tasks as required to realize business goals
• Produces high-quality code and takes responsibility for the quality of their own code - writing unit tests and conducting unit testing where applicable
• Maintains broader code quality through peer code reviews
• Assist with live releases in line with the teams release schedule
• Identify improvement opportunities to improve team processes and agree on actionable improvements

Qualifications :

• Minimum 5 years of experience in C.
• Strong hands-on technical skills on C Shell Scripting Linux & SQL
• Basic Knowlesge on Python and Cloud Concepts
• Unit Testing (Gtest)
• GitHub CoPilot or other AI Code Assist tools
• Good understanding of software architecture issues and design
• Good understanding of data structure and databases
• Experience in code reviews and coding standards
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
