DUTY LOCATION: Theater Aviation Sustainment Maintenance Group (TASMG) Groton CT
AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION:
Area 1: All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel of the Connecticut Army National Guard.
Area 2: All currently employed full-time temporary technician personnel and all current traditional members of the Connecticut Army National Guard.
This position is located within TASMG Projects and may be extended or terminated at the discretion of the TASMG Commander.
Indefinite Appointment/Temporary promotion not to exceed two (2) years. The purpose of the indefinite appointment/temporary promotion is to backfill a deployed Soldier. The indefinite appointment/temporary promotion will be terminated within 30 days of return of the incumbent to the position.
JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to provide services in support of inventory control storage and distribution cataloging or supply identification systems property utilization or other related supply activities including those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems. Manages aviation materials and resource tracking (i.e. Depot Level Repairable (DLR)/Class 9 (CLIX) funds and all other appropriate air and ground budgets) Test Measurement & Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE)/tools management and Hazardous Material Management.
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Connecticut Army National Guard.
The major duties include but are not limited to:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience education or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions requiring ability to decide course of action to take considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 12 months of specialized experience in the following:
No substitution of education for specialized experience.
Primary Change of Station (PCS) relocation expenses will NOT be paid.
To ensure compliance with an applicable preliminary nationwide injunction which may be supplemented modified or vacated depending on the course of ongoing litigation the Federal Government will take no action to implement or enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement pursuant to Executive Order 14043 on Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees. Therefore to the extent a Federal job announcement includes the requirement that applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 pursuant to E.O.14043 that requirement does not currently apply. Federal agencies may request information regarding the vaccination status of selected applicants for the purposes of implementing other workplace safety protocols such as protocols related to masking physical distancing testing travel and quarantine.
This position is represented by the Association of Civilian Technicians Chapter 98.

Incentive Termination without Recoupment: If you accept a Military Technician (Mil Tech) Permanent position where membership in the National Guard is a condition of employment your bonus will be terminated with no recoupment as long as you have served at least 6 months of the bonus contract following receipt of the initial bonus payment.
