Kolbe Catholic College is a vibrant and growing learning community inspired by our vision that Everyone Grows. As we continue to expand with our established St Clare Campus in Greenvale and the opening of our new St Catherine Campus in Mickleham in 2026 we are seeking passionate and dedicated educator to apply for the Year Level Leader (Year 8) Position of Leadership commencing Term 2 2026 (or earlier by negotiation) St Clare Campus (Greenvale).

Position Details:

• Year Level Leader (Year 8)
• Level 3 Position of Leadership
• Start date: 20th April 2026 (or earlier by negotiation)
• April 2026 to January 2029 with with the potential for an ongoing teaching position.
  
  

Your duties will include:

• Overseeing the wellbeing behaviour management and social-emotional development of students in the assigned year
• Fostering an exemplary standard of pastoral care of students based on the framework of Restorative Practices
• Leading and fostering the professional development of Pastoral Care Teachers
• Supporting the transition of new students to the year level and College.
• Leading the implementation of social-emotional learning in the assigned year level utilising the framework of the Respectful Relationships program.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this position you will have the following:

• Full VIT registration.
• Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.
• A strong commitment to Catholic education.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with people at all levels and from varying backgrounds.
• Sound organisational and administrative skills.
• A proven capacity to work independently and effectively in the face of changing priorities deadlines and pressure.
• An ability to work collaboratively and facilitate dynamic teamwork.
• A capacity to work with staff to build capacity.
• A capacity for creative problem-solving and adaptability.
• A commitment to ongoing professional learning.
• Exemplary teaching skills and practices.
