Job Summary

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms team you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Design develop and troubleshoot software solutions focusing on Databricks integration and adoption
- Build and maintain data pipelines using Databricks ensuring efficient and reliable data processing for internal teams
- Write secure high-quality production code in Python and participate in code reviews and debugging
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and improve operational stability
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide guidance and best practices for Databricks usage
Participate in team discussions and activities to share knowledge and drive continuous improvement
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability
- Exhibit proficiency in Python programming
- Build and maintain data pipelines using Databricks
- Apply practical experience with CI/CD tools and automation methods
- Demonstrate familiarity with agile development practices application resiliency and security
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages
- Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.)
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Leverage experience with AWS services such as S3 EMR Glue ECS/EKS and Athena
- Attain certifications in AWS Databricks or automation tools
- Apply exposure to open table formats (Iceberg Delta Lake) and data catalog tools (AWS Glue Data Catalog)
- Demonstrate interest in cloud computing artificial intelligence or mobile development
