Research Technician

Summary

The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) has retained Knowledge Services to provide a Research Technician. The position will support the Center for Health Promotions Fresh Air Providence program activities.

Responsibilities

Installing PurpleAir PAII particulate sensors.
Maintaining senor performance through regular troubleshooting and maintenance.
Maintain spreadsheets relating to the particulate sensors.
Travel to offsite locations to perform installs and assessments.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Ability to keep technical records
Proficiency using Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal communication skills
English/Spanish proficiency
Familiarity with the Rhode Island Health Equity Zones
Ability to drive to offsite locations.
Has reliable personal vehicle.

Education and Experience

Education: Such as may have been gained through: graduation from a college of recognized standing in a relevant field such as but not limited to public health biology and environmental science; and
Experience: Such as may have been gained through: employment in a responsible position in an agency involving technical support monitoring field work or stakeholder engagement.
Or any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.
