Description

Responsibilities:

The main responsibility of this resource is to provide the services of a full stack Oracle developer specialized in APEX PL/SQL with some exposure to the other Oracle development tools being used in these applications such as ODI and the relational database.
Works in partnership with clients advising them on information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems work to improve structure and efficiency of an organizations I and amp;IT systems.
The I and amp;IT Consultant may be used to provide strategic guidance to organizations with regard to Information Management and amp; IT technology IT infrastructures and the enablement of major business processes through enhancements to IT.
Provides subject matter expertise in their field and highly expert technical assistance.

General Skills:

Acts as the technical advisor/expert on all aspects of a specific deliverable
Provide the quality assurance/quality control of specific deliverables
Anticipates and resolves problems to ensure that the deliverables are completed within budget to the highest quality meeting or exceeding expectations
Develops processes and procedures for implementing deliverables
Prepares reports and presentations including options recommendations implementation plans etc.
Works with clients to define the scope of a project and to determine requirements
Defines software hardware and network requirements
Analyzes I and amp;IT requirements giving independent and objective advice on the use of I and amp;IT
Designs tests installs and monitors new systems and develops solutions and implementation of new systems
Familiar with change-management principles and methodology
Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles concepts policies and practices

Skills

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Core Technical Skills: 40%

Demonstrated experience installing configuring and developing applications using and nbsp;Oracle Application Express (APEX) with a minimum of 7 years of solid hands-on experience.
Demonstrated experience developing APEX applications using Java/JavaScript and similar development tools to extend basic functionality.
Demonstrated experience (at least one upgrade) upgrading Oracle APEX including involvement in migrating APEX applications across operating systems.
Demonstrated experience performing the basic functions of a database administrator.
Demonstrated advanced level of knowledge of creating PL/SQL procedures functions and package with at least 10 years experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of techniques for optimizing the performance of SQL queries DML and APEX applications.
Demonstrated experience integrating APEX with ODI.
Demonstrated experience using BI Publisher reports in conjunction with APEX.
Experience with at least one APEX application that is integrated with OAM (Oracle Single Sign-On).

Application-Specific Skills: 40%

Demonstrated experience working with applications that perform transfer payments or similar financial transaction management functionality.
Demonstrated experience working with applications that allocate funding.
More than 2 years experience working with APEX in a Hyperion Planning or Essbase environment ideally with APEX being used to manage the metadata..
Demonstrated experience providing and delivering Oracle-based solutions that are GO-ITS compliance and familiarity with GO-ITS standards and processes would be an asset
Demonstrated experience with public sector financial applications ideally in a Hyperion Planning context and ideally related to the education or post-secondary education sectors would be an asset

General Skills 20%:

Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with small teams and working directly clients.
Demonstrated experience and ability to knowledge transfer and train client staff.

Must Haves:

Oracle developer with focus and deep experience with APEX (Oracle Application Express) min of 7 years of solid hands on experience
Demonstrated advanced level of knowledge of creating PL/SQL procedures functions and package with at least 10 years experience.
