Responsibilities:
- The main responsibility of this resource is to provide the services of a full stack Oracle developer specialized in APEX PL/SQL with some exposure to the other Oracle development tools being used in these applications such as ODI and the relational database.
- Works in partnership with clients advising them on information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems work to improve structure and efficiency of an organizations I and amp;IT systems.
- The I and amp;IT Consultant may be used to provide strategic guidance to organizations with regard to Information Management and amp; IT technology IT infrastructures and the enablement of major business processes through enhancements to IT.
- Provides subject matter expertise in their field and highly expert technical assistance.
General Skills:
- Acts as the technical advisor/expert on all aspects of a specific deliverable
- Provide the quality assurance/quality control of specific deliverables
- Anticipates and resolves problems to ensure that the deliverables are completed within budget to the highest quality meeting or exceeding expectations
- Develops processes and procedures for implementing deliverables
- Prepares reports and presentations including options recommendations implementation plans etc.
- Works with clients to define the scope of a project and to determine requirements
- Defines software hardware and network requirements
- Analyzes I and amp;IT requirements giving independent and objective advice on the use of I and amp;IT
- Designs tests installs and monitors new systems and develops solutions and implementation of new systems
- Familiar with change-management principles and methodology
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles concepts policies and practices
Skills
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Candidates will be evaluated according to the following weighted assessment criteria:
Core Technical Skills (35%):
- Demonstrated experience building and designing on-premises Hyperion Planning applications (version 11) including all core components: Forms Reports Business Rules Task Lists meta data loading Essbase design and optimization with at least 7 years of solid design and development experience.
- Some demonstrated experience with version 11.2 of Hyperion Planning (on-premises)
- At least three years experience working with Hyperion Planning in a Windows environment.
- Experience developing and maintaining custom-developed front-end applications using Excel/VBA and SmartView.
- Demonstrated experience using ODI to load complex data (e.g. text and numeric data) into Plan Types (Essbase Cubes).
Application-Specific Skills (35%)
- Must have worked on at least one other Hyperion Planning implementation where Oracle Access Manager (OAM) is used to manage the coarse-grained security.
- Demonstrated experience optimizing performance for complex Hyperion Planning applications that collect and consolidate financial data and that are used for calculating the allocation of funding (or similar business functionality)
- Demonstrated experience designing and building bi-lingual Planning applications.
- Demonstrated experience building accessible Planning applications ideally as close as possible to the WCAG 2.0 standard (AODA).
General Skills (30%):
- Experience working with both the business users and IT development teams to create Hyperion Planning applications and to deliver change requests.
- Familiarity using accessibility compliance tools such as Wave.
- Demonstrated advanced problem-solving skills in debugging and resolving complex problems involving Hyperion Planning application software and infrastructure integration.
- Experience working in programs consisting of multiple highly inter-dependent projects.
- Awareness of emerging IT trends and directions with regard to future versions of the Oracle EPM products being used in this branch such that final as built solution is resilient to technology advancement.
- Proven ability to manage the successful completion an assignment of this nature magnitude and complexity and achieve the results on schedule.
- A team player with the ability to coordinate multiple projects with competing priorities and strict deadlines.
- Experience in dealing with system solutions related to funding modeling financial information management and web based n-tier technology implementation.
- Knowledge of and experience with Government of Ontario Information Technology Standards (GO-ITS)
