The Assistant High School Baseball Coach supports the Head Coach in the instruction supervision and development of student-athletes in accordance with New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) regulations and district policies. The coach is responsible for promoting skill development sportsmanship teamwork and student athlete safety while contributing to a positive and competitive baseball program.

Qualifications & Description of Position/Responsibilities:

Valid NJ Teaching Certificate or NJ Substitute Teacher Certificate-
Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices drills and skill development sessions
Provide instruction in fundamental and advanced baseball techniques appropriate to the high school level
Supervise student-athletes during practices games travel and team activities
Support game preparation including warm-ups in-game instruction and post-game responsibilities
Reinforce team rules district policies and expectations for sportsmanship and conduct
Promote a positive team culture emphasizing respect accountability and academic responsibility
Collaborate with athletic trainers and administration to support student-athlete safety and injury protocols
Communicate effectively with student-athletes coaching staff and school administration
