About the Role
Opera Australia is seeking a warm professional and highly organised Platinum Club Host to deliver an exceptional front-of-house experience for our Platinum Club patrons throughout the Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour season. The Platinum Club Host is required between 27 March and 3 May with employment offered on a casual basis.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced live performance environment enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service particularly to VIP guests and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional customer service to Platinum Club patrons including VIP guests
Welcome and assist guests on arrival coordinating seating with Catering
Promote and sell dining packages where required
Act as a key point of contact for guest enquiries
Liaise with Site & Venue Operations on venue presentation lighting and music levels
Monitor guest numbers reconcile with Catering and provide nightly reports
Act as a Fire Warden in emergencies (training provided)
Attend staff meetings and follow all Work Health & Safety procedures
Report hazards or incidents and contribute to a safe welcoming environment
About You
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience delivering high-level customer service ideally with VIP clientele
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Experience working in front-of-house roles for large-scale events festivals or theatre productions
Understanding of safe work practices
Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
Desirable
Current Senior First Aid Certificate
Experience working in creative or live performance environments
