Business Analyst with Data Analysis

Job description:

We’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst to:

• Develop an understanding of the data and its appropriateness for various internal clients.
• act as the primary point of contact for requirements and documentation managing updates and change requests throughout the lifecycle.
• Drive end-to-end analysis ensuring requirements are clear feasible and aligned with business objectives.
• Co-ordinate with business and IT stakeholders to capture challenge and refine complex requirements.
• Perform in-depth data analysis to assess the feasibility of business requirements challenge them and tailor them to the available data.
• Own the creation and maintenance of technical documentation including functional specifications and data flow diagrams.
• Leverage your understanding of the data and the available technologies to translate business requirements into technical documentation and collaborate with technologists to drive delivery within an Agile framework.
• Represent stakeholders’ and data consumers’ needs throughout the data delivery by collaborating with other internal teams including data acquisition teams data modelling teams and cross-functional platform teams.
• Support the testing of the data delivery to ensure it fits the requirement of your data consumers.
• Capture and understand analytical needs from business stakeholders and provide detailed data analysis reports that answer them.
• Leverage statistical tools programming languages and visualization tools to perform in-depth feasibility analysis and deepen your understanding of the data.

Your expertise

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably in in IT Business or related field focusing on data analysis.
• Ideally 5 years of relevant experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar role in data-driven environments.
• Strong understanding of data concepts and ability to perform complex SQL queries.
• Proven experience creating technical documentation (functional specs data mapping workflows).
• Knowledge of programming languages (Python / Scala Spark SQL) and Big Data technologies (Azure Cloud Databricks Power BI or equivalent) is a plus.
• Good understanding and experience with Agile methodologies and delivery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build partnerships with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical data management and problem-solving skills.
• flexible and resilient team player with strong interpersonal skills taking initiative to drive things forward.
• Keen interest in understanding business context for the data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work as part of a global team.
• Fluent in English.
