Job Summary
Job Overview
Ensures databases are up to date developed and supported to meet production requirements and that the production view is compatible with requirements and processes.
Manages database enhancements; manages and consults on production views and provides direct support to reference system users
Responsibilities:
- Learns to use professional concepts. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues. Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Builds stable working relationships internally. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
- Performs research to gather information from third parties that will augment the completeness or accuracy of IQVIA reference data.
- Solicits information from other IQVIA departments to identify when and how to correct inaccurate data delete data or add new entries to make the reference files more complete.
- Receives input to the reference process from other IQVIA production processes.
- Validates that the information gathered from third-party sources represents accurate new data that should result in a change addition or deletion in IQVIA existing reference data.
- Identifies required changes to the existing reference file.
- Updates IQVIA reference file(s) and databases.
- Produces files and outputs for specified production and quality control processes client support activities etc.
- Responds to queries on reference data (as required).
- Bridges data comparing incoming transaction data with IQVIA reference data files to make a match or bridge between the two using manual or automated processes.
- Performs quality assurance on bridged data to ensure it accurately reflects in the reports
Qualifications:
- Typically requires 1 to 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate of any medical-related course preferably B.S. Pharmacy or B.S. Nursing
- Strong PC literacy skills including Word and Excel
- Ability to carry out moderate analysis and information gathering to resolve problems on non-routine matters.
- General knowledge of company products and pharmaceutical industry or field specific to a major function.
