General Summary of Position:
The purpose of this position is primarily to develop assays for biomarkers in the Department of Chemistry at University of Massachusetts
Lowell. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will work closely with faculty other post-doctoral associates graduate students and undergraduate students on the synthesis characterization and development of assays.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Education:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry/BioChemistry or related areas
Additional Considerations:
- Demonstrated research accomplishments
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and writing
- Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in synthesis/assay development
- Strong independent problem-solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills

This position is benefited full-time and in the Grants &Contracts union. Grade:PDwhich has range minimum of $th quartile of $56500 and midpoint of $63000. Anticipate this position not to exceed $65000 based on funding. Funding anticipated for six-months.

This position is contingent upon funding. The initial appointment will be for approximately six months with a possibility of renewal based on productivity successful performance and availability of funding.
