As a Locum General Surgeon you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality surgical services collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of surgical procedures including elective and emergency surgeries
- Collaborate with surgical teams and support staff to ensure efficient operations
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative care for patients
- Provide expert consultations and recommendations for surgical interventions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice
- Stay updated on the latest surgical techniques and technologies
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations in the surgical environment
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery
- Experience in a clinical setting with preference given to those with locum tenens experience
- Strong surgical skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current medical license in the state of Tennessee
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practice
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts
Daily Volume: 10-12
Support Staff: APPs
Must be board-certified
