The Department of Kinesiology in the College of Health Life Sciences and Education at Missouri Southern State University invites applications for a Sport and Recreation Management Assistant Professor tenure-track position.
DUTIES: The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate teaching excellence in undergraduate and graduate courses in Sport and Recreation Management. Successful candidates should be prepared to teach Sport and Recreation Management courses and oversee student internships. Other responsibilities include student advising recruitment and active participation in service and scholarship.
Qualifications Required: A doctorate in Sport and Recreation Management or a related field. Candidates who are ABD with a commitment to complete a PhD will be considered. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to the values and priorities described in the college and departments strategic plan. Demonstrate teaching excellence in undergraduate and graduate courses in Sport and Recreation Management. Employment is contingent upon a background check.
Qualifications Preferred: Experience teaching Sport and Recreation courses. Experience working and collaborating with the sport and recreation industry. Experience mentoring or advising students.
