Lead HR for a proudly local brewery with global backing
Amsterdam Brewery is home to an iconic craft brewery and two beloved hospitality venues Amsterdam BrewHouse and Amsterdam Barrel House alongside our distribution partner. Were looking for an on-site HR Manager Canada to lead our endtoend people agenda across our Canadian business shaping culture compliance capability and performancedriven culture backed by HR International Royal Unibrew (RU).
In this role you will have end-to-end responsibility for HR activities within Canada. This includes but is not limited to:
What youll do
- Trusted HR Advisor to CAD Leadership and People Managers
- Ensuring the delivery of HR operational tasks including oversight of local payroll and all aspects of employee lifecycle
- Ensuring that all HR policies and procedures comply with local legislative requirements and are competitive in appropriate markets across all Canadian entities.
- Sparring and support to local people managers on delivering people topics across the site
- Developing and implementing local HR initiatives in line with global and organizational objectives
- Working with site leadership teams to develop action planning and analysis of employee engagement feedback and data with the aim of creating a best in class working environment and culture
- Adherence to global processes supported by SuccessFactors (HRIS) and managing employee data including regular audit of accuracy and data quality
- Improving wellbeing mental and physical health through our HR initiatives managing on site provision in line with best practice and global initiatives
- Lead workforce planning recruitment and creation of staffing budgets.
- Drive performance management cycles and build future-oriented capabilities.
- Champion wellness culture engagement and employee experience.
- Oversee safety programs incident management and investigations.
- Ensure monthly HR reporting across Diversity Sustainability and CRM.
- Manage compensation & benefits for the Canadian organization
- Working with external third parties to provide services to employees such as benefits
- Manage a small but mighty HR team across 3 locations.
What you bring
- Extensive experience in a HR management role with an ability to influence and create buy-in at all levels0
- Background and understanding of operational deliverables including employee onboarding and all aspects of the employee lifecycle in work environment
- Experience in multisite or operational environments (Hospitality Manufacturing CPG or similar).
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Employment Law
- CHRL designation (strong asset) plus a degree/diploma in Human Resources or Business.
- 5 years of broad HR leadership across recruitment ER H&S payroll and training.
- Excellent communication organization and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort working onsite at operational locations this is an on-site role; occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills across departments and seniorities
- Highly adaptable and comfortable in change environments
- Proactive with a mindset for continuous improvement
- Ability to influence with a collaborative working style
