About the Role: The State Sport Centres Trust (SSCT) is seeking an experienced People & Culture generalist to lead a strategic project focused on reviewing updating and standardising all Position Descriptions (PDs) across the organisation. This fixed-term to end June 2026 engagement represents a critical investment in SSCTs People Practices shifting away from time consuming low value activities toward more strategic value-adding work. Partnering with Subject Matter Experts (SME) across the People & Culture department and engaging with key organisational stakeholders this position will facilitate and deliver a suite of key Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for People & Culture practices The role will advise inform and coordinate the development of operating procedures and processes across the end-to-end employee lifecycle working to ensure they are consistent and efficient for people leaders employees and service delivery functions whilst providing for quality service. The role will also assure of due compliance in meeting legal regulatory and industrial requirements. Your primary responsibilities will include: Analysis of existing operating procedures and processes across employee life cycle Identify gaps outdated content and compliance risks to inform priorities Develop schedule of SOP development prioritised by:critical operational dependency; legal and regulatory compliance dependency; and compliance to applicable industrial instruments (Award and Enterprise Agreement) Develop suite of operating procedures and processes that consider and address every interaction that happens along the employee life cycle putting human experiences over process Advise and inform innovations and improvements to key experiences in the people lifecycle Leverage systems solutions for efficient capture of operating procedures and processes Inform engagement and take up in People & Culture procedures and systems to ensure they are embedded in day-to-day practice Required skills and Qualifications: Demonstrated experience leading and/ or advising across employee lifecycle functions for diverse workforce cohorts Proven track record developing and iterating procedures and practices for effective HR service delivery in a complex and dynamic environment Strong understanding of employment law including application of Awards and Enterprise Agreements Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Ability to deliver within defined timeframes and budgets Exercise judgment and solve complex problems Make decisions independently and take an innovative approach Why is this a great place to work You will love working at the State Sports Centres.
