Job Summary

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is on the lookout for a Consumer Marketing Manager to join our team in our La Vergne TN office in the greater Nashville area.  This person creates and manages marketing strategy and execution for Ingrams consumer-facing websites to deliver brand awareness growth in market share customer conversions and audience engagement. Develops product messaging and positioning for sites and features to increase monthly active users. Leads content strategy and execution including setting editorial direction managing editorial calendars contracting with freelancers acquiring content creating replicable submission processes and uploading or deploying to relevant channels. Oversees outreach to internal and external collaborators to solicit relevant SEO optimized content.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5 years of marketing or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Book industry background or experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works with management to develop and execute consumer-focused content strategies that generate brand awareness organic traffic customer acquisitions and audience engagement.
  • Maintains editorial calendars for consumer-facing websites reflecting each sites brand values audience interests and feature functionality.
  • Finds internal contributors and external freelancers to provide content that meets the brand voice and content direction; works with legal to contract with external resources.
  • Project manages the content development process including maintaining editorial calendars keyword and trend research acquiring content and uploading content  to the appropriate channel.
  • Ensures content and messaging on consumer-facing sites are search engine optimized and follow best SEO practices.
  • Coordinates with product management to increase adoption of new and current features. 
  • Works with email manager on consumer-facing email templates for editorial content feature adoption and user retention.
  • Develops relationships with industry partners to create mutually beneficial campaigns that drive conversion and awareness
  • Works with product managers to provide feedback and direction on site features or functionality needed to advance content goals and audience development.
  • Leads creation of lead generating forms and lead magnet content with assistance from management and creative team.
  • Documents and communicates editorial calendar and objectives to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner to ensure successful acquisitions campaigns
  • Tracks and analyzes key business performance metrics such as monthly active users time on site pageviews opens clicks CPA organic vs paid traffic and conversion rate to enhance marketing efforts.   
  • Maintains active communication with all relevant teams collecting information such as market requirements industry insight and customer feedback to incorporate into content strategy.
  • Provides regular updates on status and results of content initiatives.
  • Assists with social media marketing activities as it pertains to content strategy.
  • Supports PR efforts including highlighting opportunities for PR.
  • Coordinates project timing and budgets with all relevant personnel ensuring timely communication and approvals if either is altered from initial proposal.
  • Submits an annual budget effective financial management of the budget and marketing costs providing updates to senior management weekly monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Interfaces with various departments on a daily basis to execute projects ensuring accurate timely and cost efficient implementation.

Hiring Salary Range: $74353k- $94011k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to:  the applicants education experience knowledge skills and abilities geographic location as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
