Our proteomic sciences (PSX) solutions are transforming the understanding of human diseases through advanced protein biomarker discovery. With our innovative solutions including highly specific and validated assays that cover more than 5000 proteins our colleagues and technology empower scientists in groundbreaking research that will play a pivotal role in the future of personalized medicine.
We are now looking for a highly motivated and driven Scientist with special responsibility of our Midplex assays to join our PSX R&D team in Uppsala. The Midplex product segment is defined as up to 50 or 100 proteins measured simultaneously and includes qPCR-based products with absolute quantification.
This is a strategic role you will take an active part in assay decisions in research and development projects developing and optimizing new assays and actively share knowledge and information gained from collaboration with different departments within the organisation. You will have the opportunity to shape and develop the role work on new and exciting projects collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the development of future innovative products.
Responsibilities
Actively participate in the development of product concepts content and ideas within the area of the Midplex product portfolio.
Develop and improve existing and new procedures and structures for assay information.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into product specifications.
Utilize your expertise in protein chemistry and immunoassays to improve product quality.
Analysis of data sets applying statistical methods as needed to interpret data and draw conclusions.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in the field and incorporate best practices into assay content and development processes.
Provide scientific expertise and direction for product development projects and product care activities linked to the mid-plex product segment
Mentor and provide scientific guidance to more junior members of the team.
Experience and Qualifications
Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g. Proteomics Molecular Biology Immunology) or a related field or M. Sc. and equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience preferred in assay development and industry experience is an advantage.
Highly experienced in the development of protein assays such as PEA ELISA or other relevant techniques.
Experience from biomarker discovery in combination with genomics and bioinformatics is highly desirable.
Good market understanding of proteomics customers and their use of our products.
