Senior Business Systems Analyst – Mainframe

Position Description:

This hybrid role requires team members to be onsite at our clients office a minimum of 4 days per week (subject to change).

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst you will collaborate with business partners developers and quality engineering teams to support and enhance our core mainframe cards and transactions system.

The core application is a large sophisticated mainframe-based platform that connects RBC clients to their banking products and services. This 24/7 system supports critical delivery channels including Online Banking POS ATM and other high-volume transaction platforms.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Elicit analyze and document business and technical requirements for mainframe applications
Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and system requirements
Partner with developers and QE teams to ensure requirements are accurately implemented and tested
Support conversion attestation audit and regulatory initiatives
Perform impact analysis for changes across online and batch systems
Create and maintain requirements documentation data mappings and process flows
Facilitate workshops walkthroughs and stakeholder reviews
Manage priorities dependencies and deliverables across multiple initiatives
Provide production support and issue triage as needed

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Completion of post-secondary education
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Extensive experience as a Business Systems Analyst supporting mainframe applications
Solid understanding of COBOL-based systems IMS DB2 JCL MQ
Experience working with high volume transaction systems
Strong analytical documentation and stakeholder management skills
Nice to have
Experience in banking payments cards or ATM systems
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models
Exposure to z/OS Connect or Java-based integrations
Experience supporting regulatory or audit initiatives

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95000$145000. This role is an existing vacancy.
