We are seeking a nurturing enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Teacher to join a warm and inclusive primary school with an on-site nursery in Bromley starting as soon as possible. As a Nursery Teacher you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will support childrens development across all areas of learning including communication and language physical development and personal social and emotional development. You will also work closely with teaching assistants and parents to ensure each child receives consistent and individualised support.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality EYFS learning activities
Create a safe nurturing and stimulating learning environment
Support childrens social emotional physical and academic development
Promote early language communication and number skills
Observe assess and accurately record childrens progress
Differentiate activities to meet individual needs including SEND and EAL
Encourage independence curiosity and positive learning behaviours
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and EYFS colleagues
Build strong positive relationships with parents and carers
Maintain accurate learning journals and assessment records
Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and whole-school initiatives
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate EYFS qualification
Have experience working within a Nursery or Early Years setting
Be nurturing patient and enthusiastic
Demonstrate strong classroom organisation and behaviour management
Have a sound understanding of the EYFS framework
Be reflective proactive and adaptable
Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and child wellbeing
