We are seeking an enthusiastic nurturing and experienced Reception Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Cambridge starting as soon as possible. The Role
As a Reception Teacher you will plan deliver and assess lessons and activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will support childrens development across all areas including communication and language literacy numeracy physical development and personal social and emotional development. You will also work closely with teaching assistants and parents to ensure each child receives personalised support and encouragement.
Your role will involve fostering curiosity independence and confidence in each child creating a classroom environment that is safe stimulating and inclusive. Observing and assessing progress and tailoring support to individual needs will be central to your work.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality EYFS lessons and activities
Support childrens social emotional and academic development
Promote early communication language literacy and numeracy skills
Create a safe stimulating and inclusive learning environment
Differentiate learning to meet individual needs including SEND and EAL
Observe monitor and record childrens progress accurately
Foster independence confidence and positive behaviour
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues
Build strong positive relationships with parents and carers
Maintain learning journals and assessment records
Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and whole-school initiatives
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are strictly followed
Who Were Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent EYFS qualification
Have experience teaching Nursery or Reception
Be nurturing patient and enthusiastic
Demonstrate excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management
Be proactive reflective and adaptable
Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
