Responsibilities
- Develops and implements a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share growth within the assigned territory.
- Analyze market trends competitor activities and customer needs to identify business opportunities.
- Set and monitor sales targets budgets and performance metrics.
- Continuously evaluate and refine the sales approach to align with market dynamics.
- Recruit train and manage a team of 6-10 outside sales professionals to ensure they meet or exceed sales revenue and gross margin targets.
- Provide leadership motivation and mentorship to the sales team to foster a high-performance culture.
- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers understand their needs and providing solutions that align with our product and service offerings.
- Collaborate with the sales team to address customer concerns and provide exceptional customer service.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for market expansion within the territory.
- Work closely with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and promotional activities.
- Develop and manage sales forecasts ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance market trends and competitor activities to the Regional Manager and Executive Team members.
- Develop and manage the sales budget for the territory.
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business Marketing or related field.
- Proven experience as a successful sales manager in the industrial distribution sector.
- Strong understanding of industrial products and services with the ability to communicate technical concepts not both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze data identify trends and make informed business decisions.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
- Able to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
- Certified Fluid Power Specialist preferred
- Valid Drivers License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
