JOB PURPOSE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Team Management:Lead and mentor a team of IT Analysts providing guidance support and professional development opportunities.

• Strategic Planning:Develop and implement strategies for the effective use and optimization of mCAD and Simulation tools.

• Tool Administration:Oversee the installation configuration maintenance and updates of mCAD and Simulation software.

• User Support:Ensure high-quality technical support is provided to engineering teams addressing issues related to mCAD and Simulation tools.

• Training:Oversee the development and delivery of training programs to enhance user proficiency with the tools.

• Optimization:Identify and implement opportunities to improve tool performance and workflow efficiency.

• Collaboration:Work closely with engineering teams to understand their requirements and ensure the tools meet their needs.

• Documentation:Ensure comprehensive documentation for tool usage best practices and troubleshooting procedures is maintained.

• Vendor Management:Manage relationships with software vendors for support licensing and updates.

• Partnering in IT:Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures be a partner with the infrastructure team to support IT projects and Engineering IT projects.

• Education:Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering or a related field.

• Experience:Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT support with a focus on engineering tools (mCAD and Simulation) including at least 2 years in a leadership role.

• Technical Skills:Proficiency in mCAD software (e.g. SolidWorks NX Creo Catia) and Simulation tools (e.g. ANSYS AMESim Altair Hyperworks Altair PBS).

• Solid experience in supporting MCAD and engineering simulation software in an automotive or manufacturing environment

• Proficiency in scripting and automation for MCAD and simulation software customization is a plus.

• Experience with System Center Configuration Manager or Intune Company Portal a plus

• Leadership:Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Problem-Solving:Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Communication:Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Strategic Thinking:Ability to develop and implement strategic plans for tool optimization.

• Adaptability:Willingness to learn new tools and technologies as needed.
