MAJOR CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE SOUTH BRISBANE
This is an opportunity to step into a key estimating role within a fast-growing civil construction business delivering complex large-scale infrastructure projects across Australia.
Backed by the strength of a majorconstruction group this contractor combines national capability with a grounded delivery focused culture. They have a significant investment in people systems and long-term capability the business is tendering and delivering some of the countrys most critical infrastructure works.
The Opportunity
As an Estimator youll play a critical role in preparing accurate competitive tenders across a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure projects.
Youll work closely with bid project procurement and operations teams to develop robust pricing construction methodologies and winning submissions.
This role suits someone who enjoys first-principles estimating problem solving complex scopes and contributing to tenders that genuinely shape how projects are delivered.
What Youll Be Doing
Reviewing tender documentation and managing detailed quantity take-offs
Preparing cost estimates using Expert Estimation software
Developing construction methodologies staging and buildability strategies
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
Identifying risks opportunities and value-engineering solutions
Participating in tender reviews and client negotiations
Supporting and mentoring junior estimators
Working with Construction Managers to validate assumptions and delivery approaches
Collaborating with Bid Managers to shape compelling client-focused tenders
Youll ideally bring:
A degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or similar (preferred)
5 years experience in civil estimating and tender preparation
Strong understanding of construction methodologies costs and industry standards
A passion for first-principles estimating and accuracy
Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
A collaborative mindset with clear confident communication skills
