Job Summary

Primary Purpose:

To perform the assigned duties in a professional manner and provide technical assistance to ensure quality results. To provide the delivery of quality services in the area of IMS to meet the needs of Region 16 ESC clients.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree preferred

Skills

  • One year job-related experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the Texas Student Data System (TSDS) including PEIMS and Core Collections
  • Knowledge of Texas Education Standards (TEDS) and Student Attendance AccountingHandbook (SAAH)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform assigned responsibilities while working with personnelfrom Local Education Agencies (LEA) Texas Education Agency (TEA) and Education Service Centers
  • Proficiency in Google/Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of basic office procedures required
  • Experience in the ASCENDER software preferred
  • Must be service-oriented a team player self-motivated and responsible to complete allassignments
  • Must exhibit tact and relate well to people
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure with ease
  • Must project a positive professional organizational image through in-person and phoneinteraction with customers

Working Conditions:

  • Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
  • Posture: Must be physically able to tolerate prolonged sitting frequent standing; occasional bending/stooping pushing/pulling twisting and standing
  • Motion: Must be physically able to tolerate frequent standing and walking repetitive hand motions frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching occasional driving
  • Lifting: Must be physically able to tolerate regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may require occasional heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds or more)
  • Environment: Must be physically able to work inside; tolerate frequent districtwide travel and occasional statewide travel; regular exposure to noise
  • Mental Demands: Must be able to work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours on occasion

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Performs duties necessary to support school districts on the TSDS Coordinator contract
  2. Performs duties necessary to support school districts on the OCR/CRDC contract.
  3. Provides support for LEAs with knowledge of Texas Education Standards (TEDS)
  4. Assists LEA TSDS Coordinators and contracted LEAs with all TEA-mandated corecollections
  5. Assists with the facilitation of TSDS workshops
  6. Assists the LEA and ESC personnel with data requirements and procedures for collectingTSDS data
  7. Assists district superintendents regional personnel and ESC staff with Texas EducationAgency Login (TEAL)
  8. Maintains records generates reports and creates capable communications related toTSDS and ASCENDER(TM)
  9. Assists in preparation of component ASCENDER(TM) and TSDS Workshops
  10. Assists LEAs with all processes and procedures with PID (Personal Identification Data) ET (Enrollment Tracking) TEAL (Texas Education Agency Login) and TSDS to school districts on TSDS Coordinators contract
  11. Assists in efforts to analyze and monitor data integrity with PID errors ET submissionsand Unique ID for TSDS contracted LEAs
  12. Maintains maximum confidentiality and security of all TSDS and CRDC data. Shreds alldiscarded TSDS and CRDC material used in the preparation of each TSDS and CRDC submission
  13. Review and disaggregate TSDS and ACSENDER reports as needed to assist with the CRDC submissions
  14. Assists with the duties required within the service area under the direction of the IMSTeam Leads
  15. Accepts the responsibility to complete the tasks in a timely manner which may requireadditional work hours during peak time submissions
  16. Reports for work ready to perform responsibilities
  17. Performs duties that directly and/or indirectly impact student performance in Region
  18. Maintains a professional level of confidentiality regarding all ESC matters
  19. Supports the mission goals and objectives of the ESC strategic plan
  20. Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the ESC safety program
  21. Performs professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies processes andprocedures
  22. Manages time calendar and job responsibilities to meet deadlines
  23. Meets proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by supervisor
  24. Incorporates appropriate technology in daily work and exhibits continual growth intechnologies as outlined by supervisor
  25. Performs other duties as assigned
