Location: Leesburg VA
Contract Duration: 27 Weeks

Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM 3:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 37.5 (30-minute meal break)
Pay Rate: $35$50/hour
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1312.50$1875.00

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a Multiple Disabilities (MD) program serving middle school students. The role supports students with complex medical needs limited mobility and adaptive/self-care requirements. Fully licensed candidates are preferred; Long-Term Substitute (LTS) candidates will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals for ID/MD students

• Develop implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Support students with medical needs mobility limitations and self-care skills

• Provide adaptive functional and life-skills instruction

• Collaborate with paraprofessionals therapists medical staff and administrators

• Implement appropriate instructional and behavior management strategies

• Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring records

• Ensure compliance with IDEA state regulations and school policies

• Communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams

• Maintain a safe structured and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Special Education Teaching License (preferred)

• Long-Term Substitute (LTS) candidates will be considered

• Experience with Multiple Disabilities (MD) or Intellectual Disabilities (ID) preferred

• Experience supporting students with medical mobility and adaptive/self-care needs

• Knowledge of IEP development and special education compliance

• Strong collaboration communication and classroom management skills
