Job Summary
Hunting Creek Country Club in Prospect KY is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Assistant Superintendent. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon.
There are country clubs and then there are clubs that are also communities where families gather and friendships abound. Since 1964 Hunting Creek Country Club has been known for its congeniality as well as its gorgeous golf course nestled among the rolling hills of historic Prospect Kentucky just outside of Louisville.
- Assist the Golf Course Superintendent with all aspects of daily course maintenance.
- Manage and lead grounds crew members including assigning tasks training and conducting performance reviews.
- Oversee irrigation systems including repairs and manage water usage.
- Be responsible for pest and disease control on the course.
- Monitor equipment fuel and chemical inventories.
- Support the planning and execution of course construction or renovation projects.
- Represent the club as a manager in the Superintendents absence.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- A degree in agronomy horticulture turfgrass science or a related field is preferred but equivalent experience is acceptable.
- 35 years of turf management experience is preferred with private club or resort experience being a plus.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Pesticide Application License or the ability to obtain one is necessary.
- Strong leadership communication problem-solving and organizational skills are essential.
- Proficiency of Microsoft Office.
