Job Description

The Documentation and Training Specialist will support the Environmental Health Safety and Sustainability (EHSS) programs across the Northeast (NE) Region. Environmental Health Safety & Sustainability (EHS) is a regulatory function that has Federal & State training requirements as well as documentation requirements. The role will apply technical knowledge to manage EHSS documentation and data in a collaborative manner. Working with EHSS personnel at multiple sites the role will support Vertex EHSS activities for R&D laboratories and manufacturing operations. The position will report to the EHSS Director located in the Boston Seaport district.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Maintains site EHS program documentation including procedures permits plans etc. These documents should be filed in the appropriate Vertex enterprise system including VelocityEHS- Permits and Veeva non-GxP.
Create new training courses in Vertex U (LMS). Note: training material will be developed by others.
Maintains EHS training records in Vertex U (LMS)
Assists with EHS programs and collaborations across New England sites

Required Education Level
Bachelor of Science

Required Education
Requires 3 years of experience.

Required Knowledge/Skills
Proficient computer and documentation management skills
Ability to solve problems and meet project goals.
Documentation and/or training experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology GxP Manufacturing and/or R&D
Experience with Vertex University (LMS) VelocityEHS and/or Veeva platforms helpful


Contract Length: 12 months with the chance to extend

Pay Range

$38/hr. - $46/hr.

Shift/Hours

Monday - Friday
