The Aurora R-VIII School District is currently accepting applications for a special education process coordinator/educational diagnostician for the 2026-2027 school year. This candidate should have leadership skills along with a thorough knowledge of the special education process timelines and compliance (both state and federal requirements). They must understand eligibility the evaluation process and how to complete evaluations. This person will complete both in-state and out-of-state transfer requirements meet with families entering the district and process needed paperwork. The position will require them to understand how to give and write up educational assessments write classroom observations for eligibility purposes conduct FBAs and create behavior intervention plans work well with teachers parents and other staff members be able to multitask enjoy paperwork and prioritize needs. Experience in these areas are preferred.
They must be certified in special education and have at least a masters degree (administration or special education is preferred). Aurora students attend school Monday-Thursday (4 days a week only). Salary depends upon years of experience and level of education salary schedule personnel guide.
