Role Overview:

We are seeking a strategic results-driven growth leader to take full ownership of CBC Max our self-directed media platform. This pivotal roles mission is to drive exponential growth by transitioning Max from a service offering into a market-leading self-serve powerhouse. You will manage the entire adoption lifecycle from designing Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies to building robust systems that convert Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) into long-term high-value users.

This role also involves the comprehensive development of both short-term tactical and long-term strategic sales plans instrumental in driving revenue growth and market expansion by focusing on new markets and leveraging emerging platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Platform Scaling & SMB Adoption

  • Exponential Growth Strategy: Design and execute the Go-to-Market (GTM) roadmap for Max focusing on rapid adoption and scale within the SMB sector;

  • Value Demonstration: Structure and deliver high-impact presentations to business associations and SMB owners effectively translating technical platform features into tangible business value.

2. Strategic Sales & Revenue Architecture

  • Upsell Ecosystem: Establish a Qualification Framework to identify high-potential self-serve advertisers and escalate them for high-touch upselling and account expansion;

  • Pipeline Engineering: Execute a 30/60/90-day plan to build a sustainable and high-quality strategic map leveraging key business associations and digital outreach;

  • KPI Management: Prioritize track and dynamically adjust strategy based on key metrics within the first six months.

3. Innovation & AI Integration

  • Digital Evolution: Maintain a proactive view on market trends to ensure Max remains competitive and cutting-edge in an evolving digital landscape;

  • AI-Driven Growth: Implement AI tools to innovate the sales process automate prospecting and enhance the user experience on the Max platform.

4. Leadership & Collaborative Culture

  • Cross-Functional Influence: Work alongside internal and external teams to align strategies and resources;

  • Market Penetration: Identify and prioritize new geographical and vertical markets for digital and Max platform expansion.

Qualifications:

Experience & Education

  • Five to ten years of progressive experience in the Digital advertising industry including a proven track record in new business development a strong understanding of emerging digital platforms and expertise in scaling a self-serve or SaaS platform within a media or advertising context.

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent with an emphasis on business or marketing preferred.

Strategic & Financial Acumen

  • Extensive understanding of all aspects of media sales sales administration and marketing functions with specific expertise in identifying and capitalizing on new revenue streams.

  • Strong business management and strategic marketing skills to guide business development analysis and manage business planning and revenue forecasting for new initiatives.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail is essential given the level of data to be reviewed.

Leadership & Communication

  • Demonstrated superior communication (verbal and written) skills including excellent presentation abilities.

  • Ability to balance the needs of the organization with client requests using listening skills tact and diplomacy.

  • Excellent negotiation skills with a solid track record of success in securing new business and platform partnerships.

Agility & Problem Solving

  • Ability to review and assimilate various forms of research and market conditions into coherent sales strategies with a focus on identifying and integrating new business opportunities and emerging technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure juggling multiple deadlines and think and act strategically.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment initiative and to effectively solve problems particularly those related to pioneering new business areas.

Technical & Language

  • Extensive computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and Google products.

  • Bilingual (English and French) is considered a strong asset.
