Job Summary

POSITION PURPOSE
Maintenanceisresponsibleforallroutineand preventivemaintenanceat eachhatchery includingcontrollingsystemsas directed by MaintenanceLead Hatchery Manager and/or Facilities Manager.

Maintenance provides support for the maintenance function in the Hatchery. The position reports to and is supervised by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Maintenance uses critical thinkinglogicand reasoning toidentifythe problems or weaknesses in mechanical issues that arise.
Maintenance finds alternative mechanical solutions through proactive and creative approaches with the ability to direct and instruct other workers in basic repair work and maintenance.
Maintenance carries out all directivesin accordance withthe Companys policies and applicable Company information will be handled with complete confidentiality.
Work requires frequent bending standingwalkingand use of hand tools and machinery. Work is subject to tight deadlines and interruptions.
All trainingofjob tasks will be in person and hands on.
The work environment includes exposure to dust chemicalsfumesand extreme weather conditions.
Maintenance must be physically able to lift and/or push and handle up to 50 the day.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Deductive/Inductive reasoningskills
Experience with electric meterhand and power toolselectric palletjackand/or other mechanical knowledge of HVAC systemsa plus.
Must have good hand eyecoordination

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

2yearsrelated maintenanceexperience is a plus
Proven problem solving andchangingfacilitationabilities.
Follow all company regulationspertaining tobio security animalwelfareand safety.
Respond to alarms andtrouble shootissues thatarise
Monitor equipment including incubators and hatchers.
Follow the PM schedule on all equipment each week and log progress.
Be flexible. Work hoursmay vary according to staffing levels. This may includeworkingnightshiftand weekendsand working at one hatchery one day and the other on another day or the same day.
