Maintenance Technician

SoftLite Windows & Doors is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to support our high-volume manufacturing operations in Streetsboro Ohio.

This role is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and optimizing complex manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime safety and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings advanced mechanical electrical and troubleshooting expertise and thrives in a fast-paced production environment where precision reliability and proactive problem solving are critical.

This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong diagnostic capabilities the ability to work independently as well as with a team and a commitment to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

Advanced Equipment Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical electrical and pneumatic issues on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment sensors drives and automated systems.
• Utilize schematics electrical diagrams and technical documentation to identify root causes of failures.
• Respond quickly to production downtime to minimize operational disruptions.

Preventative & Predictive Maintenance

• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment including welders cutting systems conveyors and automated assembly equipment.
• Identify early signs of equipment wear and proactively address potential failures.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Ensure equipment repairs meet safety and operational standards.
• Support lockout/tagout procedures and safe maintenance practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with production supervisors engineers and leadership to resolve equipment challenges.
• Contribute ideas that enhance safety reliability and operational excellence.

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications

• 3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Industrial electrical systems
  • PLC troubleshooting
  • Pneumatic systems
  • Mechanical systems and machine repair
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams
• Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team within a fast-paced production environment
• Strong commitment to workplace safety

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification trade school training or associate degree in industrial maintenance mechatronics or electrical technology
• Experience working in automated manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with PLC platforms
• Experience with CMMS maintenance systems
