Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
The functions stated below represent the duties that will be conducted a majority of the time while working in this position. However Administration may assign additional duties related to this position as needed.
Protects and serves the community and properties of the County and the Bell County Judicial Complex and personnel.
Performs patrol related functions by responding to emergency dispatch calls patrolling rural areas ensuring that buildings and residences are secured and assisting other departments as deemed necessary.
Perform the duties of the Courts and Transportation by providing security to the Justice Center and to the courts.
Performs duties by serving warrants filing accurate and completed reports maintaining education requirements and providing public relation functions for the community of Bell County.
This position is not set to any specific shift or work schedule. The position may change shifts and/or work hours from time to time to assist with the missions of this agency and the position.
Requirements:
TCOLE Peace Officer License required
TCOLE Licensed Jailer preferred
Minimum of 12 months of total Law Enforcement (LE)service (to include other LE agencies)
Internal applications must meet the Criteria for promotion as listed in I-B-3
Technical training will be provided

COMPENSATION IS: $63003
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by specialized courses/training.
TCOLE Peace Officer License required.
TCOLE Licensed Jailer preferred.
Minimum of 12 months of total Law Enforcement (LE) service (to include other LE agencies)
