We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Production to join our Large Power Systems team to support Caterpillar large engine production at ourKielfacility.
Whatyou willdo:
Overseetheday-to-dayoperationsofallshiftsofoneormoremanufacturingproductionareas.
Directstaffingdevelopment andperformancemanagementprogramsforoperationsstaff.
Managemotivateanddevelopaproductionmanagementteam.
Lead withhigh standardsand accountability.
Overseeoperationsactivitiesensuringthatsafetyproductionschedulesandperformancerequirementsaremetandresourcesareusedeffectively.
Take full accountability for Quality withinproduction and execute feedbackloopto causal partiestodrive RootCauseCorrectiveActions.
Monitoroveralloperationsperformanceandimplementproductionsafetycost andqualitycontrolmechanisms.
Leadproductionreporting andmonitor/ auditproductionmetrics
Ensurecompliancewithallregulatoryguidelinesandcreatea safe andsoundmanufacturingenvironment.
Partner effectively with functional peers in Supply Chain EHS & HR to meet operational goals.
Skills you must have:
Manufacturing Operations: Knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.
Manufacturing Safety:Expertiseinmanufacturing safety; ability toidentifywork-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workersenvironmentand site.
Analytical Thinking:Understandingoftechniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability todeterminethe root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Influencing:Knowledgeofeffectiveinfluencingtacticsandstrategies;abilitytoimpactdecisionswithinand outside ownorganization
ProblemSolving:Familiaritywithapproachestoolstechniquesforrecognizinganticipating andresolvingorganizational operationalorprocessproblems;abilitytoknowledgeofproblemsolvingappropriatelytodiversesituations.
Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability tomaintainfocus on the continuous improvement of processesproductsand services.
Degree in Engineering Operations Management or equivalent experiencedesired.
Very goodGerman (at least C1) andvery goodEnglish skills (at least B2).
