AIRMO is a European climate-tech company using space and airborne technologies to monitor greenhouse gas emissions globally. Our instruments combining LiDAR and hyperspectral imaging detect and quantify methane and CO₂ emissions from industrial sites pipelines and national infrastructure.
Were building a global monitoring system from ground to space helping NGOs energy companies governments and investors take real action on climate impact.
AIRMO is looking for a hands-on talented Senior Electrical/Electronics Engineer to own the design development and production of our next-generation satellite and airborne electrical systems. Youll be at the core of our flight hardware powering payloads orchestrating system availability and ensuring rock-solid reliability in space and flight.
Tasks
- Designing producing and testing custom PCBs for our flight hardware including UAS and satellite sensors
- Developing and optimizing laser drivers and trigger systems for high-frequency signal processing
- Designing and constructing prototype electrical systems using COTS components
- Interfacing with IMUs RTCs environmental sensors and other payload peripherals
- Building and running unit/integration tests hardware-in-the-loop benches and automated validation suites
- Designing producing and testing power control systems for flight and laboratory hardware
- Collaborating closely with hardware optics and mission operations teams to integrate software into end-to-end payload systems
- Documenting architectures schematics test plans and validation results with clarity and rigor
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering Software Engineering Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience
- 5 years of electronics development preferably in aerospace robotics or other high-reliability domains
- Expert-level Altium knowledge / equivalent experience
- Hands-on integration experience with:
- Power control systems (switches converters distribution metering and protection)
- Inertial sensors real-time clocks environmental sensors
- Prototype hardware development for field-deployed devices
- High frequency pulse generation
- Ideally - fiber laser systems
- A hacker mentality: rapid prototyping creative problem-solving and a willingness to dive into firmware heavy documentation and debugging
- Fluency in English
Benefits
- 1000 / yr development budget
- Tea coffee drinks snacks in office
- Work with a killer team of motivated experts
This is a rare chance to build real software that will fly beyond the edge of the atmosphere and bring critical Earth-observation payloads to life. If youre ready to roll up your sleeves write mission-critical code and help shape the future of space-based instrumentation we want to hear from you.
