TheCloud-Native Lifecycle Managementteam is advancing enterprise delivery by applying cloud-native principles to the full software lifecycle. With OCM as a core building block we standardize how software is described delivered verified andoperatedacross clouds clusters and the edge. Our work powers SAPs Infrastructure-as-Data approach and underpins the Cloud Orchestrator Platform used by development teams across SAP.

The Role:

As a Senior/ExpertTechnical Product Manager you will:

  • Shape Roadmap in alignment with project vision stakeholder needs and technical direction
  • Drive Delivery by translating goals into well-scoped milestones and actionable backlog items that keep the team aligned and moving forward. Enable and unblock team to do their best work and do course-correct quickly whenever necessary.
  • Support Stakeholder Success by building trusted relationships understanding their use cases and technical needs and ensuring those needs shape project decisions and roadmap priorities.
  • Align Upstream Contributions with project goals and roadmap priorities. Guide the team in making deliberate investment decisions around dependencies (like Flux Argo External Secrets Operator KRO) so that every upstream engagement delivers direct traceable benefit for the project.
  • Grow Community & Visibility by advocating for the project and amplifying its vision progress and impact both within SAP and across the wider cloud-native community.
  • Contribute technically to architectural discussions challenge assumptions constructively improve and uphold engineering standards and guide the team in making well-informed technical decisions. Code contribution is encouraged but not required.

What you bring:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities with a collaborative proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience in community engagement and open-source contributions ability to clearly communicate and present complex technical concepts
  • A distinguished university degree in Computer Science or a closely related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong hands-on technical skills with 3 years of experience in full-time software engineering related roles and a strong focus on interacting and working with code
  • Solid understanding of container technologies and the broader cloud-native ecosystem with familiarity with the CNCF landscape
  • Confidence navigating the Kubernetes ecosystem and elaborating its extension concepts including CRDs the operator pattern or extension API Servers
  • High proficiency in English both written and spokenGerman language skill is beneficial.
