Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Mail & Shipping Associate on a permanent basis on our Facilities Design and Development team.

This position requires on-site work and is based in Saskatoon SK.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m.

What youll do:

  • Maintain update and troubleshoot shipping terminals and printers; coordinate with courier IT support and manage terminal supplies.
  • Create shipping labels using computer terminals; ensure correct courier or Canada Post postage is used and apply proper GL codes for accurate business unit billing.
  • Provide receptionist and switchboard coverage including professional phone handling call transfers managing visitors and building access handling sensitive inquiries confidentially booking meeting rooms and tracking shared mobile equipment.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail; prepare and coordinate weekly internal courier shipments to designated locations.
  • Maintain and service postage meter equipment and order related supplies as needed.
  • Provide shipping and receiving coverage by receiving delivering and tracking packages; handle heavy items using pallet jacks and maintain a clean work area.
  • Follow threat and emergency call procedures and comply with all safety protocols throughout the facility.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and committees maintain required training and perform other duties as assigned.

The Team: You will work closely with the team of Office Servicesand will report to the Supervisor Office Services. This team strives to cultivate a culture that values outgoing solution-oriented individuals who think quickly stay calm under pressure and adapt with confidence.

The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions in our Facilities Design and Development team business unit and collaborate with various teams across the organization.

The Customers:You will demonstrate a strong customer focus by identifying and effectively supporting the diverse customers you serve.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Administration and:

  • Have a High School education plus a one-year office certificate or equivalent
  • 9 months of closely related experience
  • Capable of maneuvering packages in excess of 50 lbs
  • Have experience working with a multi line switchboard
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Experience with multiple switchboard lines
