About this Position
Responsible for oversight and maintenance of Veterinary Teaching Hospital Medical Records and Billing System. Supervises Medical Billing employees. Responsible for organization analysis and technical evaluation of content of medical records including data input of diagnosis into hospital computer system to assist in retrieval for research and clinical education. Auditing of clinical records to include verification of appropriate charging and generating reports.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
Five years of related work experience with working knowledge of animal medical terminology and anatomy of animal species.
- Skills Proficiencies and/or Knowledge:
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as organization skills. Must be self-motivated and capable of accomplishing tasks with minimal oversight and supervision.
Must be capable of interacting successfully with administration veterinary students staff and veterinary professionals and representing the Veterinary Teaching Hospital Medical Records department at annual meetings.
