Location: Primarily in office in Omaha NE; some flexibility with hours and remote work

Intern Summary:

The JAG Nebraska Intern will play a key role in building andfacilitatingthe JAG Nebraska Alumni Network helping strengthen long-term connections between former JAG participants and current this role the intern will support alumni engagement through communications data management supportreferrals and position offers theopportunityto build relationships with a wide range of program stakeholders including executives employer partners education partners and community-based organizations. The intern will also support statewideinitiativesbyassistingwith events attending employer engagement activities visiting classrooms and supporting day-to-day program administration. The individual in this role will gain valuable experience working with urban and rural communities public speaking data analysis and management and student relationsand support.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze participant data to identify eligibility forJAGNebraska Alumni Network.
  • Create and deliver student and alumni correspondence with guidance fromJAGLeadership team.
  • Maintainaccuratedata systems to track alumni communications participation career outcomes credentials and post-graduation outcomes.
  • Deliver presentations on post-graduation opportunities to JAG Nebraska students.
  • Collaborate with JAG Career Specialists to promote alumni network and receive referrals.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative alumni data toidentifyparticipants in need of career developmentassistanceand send referrals toDirector of Strategic Partnerships.
  • Attend local employer engagement activitiesas a JAG representative and chaperone as needed.
  • Provide support for JAG Nebraska statewide events leading up to and on-siteon day of event if available.
  • Develop reports on alumni network activities participantprogress employer partnerships and referrals.
  • Partner withUWMmarketing team to highlight alumni success stories and create promotional materialsand social media contentfor future participants community stakeholders and employer partners.
  • Maintain strict confidentialityregardingparticipant information

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Willingness to receive and apply feedback in a fast-paced supportive setting
  • ProficiencyinMicrosoft Office and familiarity withSalesforceis a plus.
  • Passion for community impact and student success
  • Must pass all applicable background checks
  • Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation to attend events.

Education and Experience:

  • College student in a two-year or four-year program with a background ineducation non-profitmanagementor related field.
  • Former JAG Nebraska student (required)
  • Focusincommunications marketing nonprofit management ora relatedfield or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in data entry student support marketing and/or community relationshighlypreferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
