Job Summary
Qualifications:
- Must hold New Jersey Students with Disabilities certificate with appropriate middle school certificate(s) for the position or hold a Teacher of the Handicapped certificate.
- Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA
- Have excellent experience in teaching and working with adolescents
- Diagnose student strengths and weaknesses and match these skills with appropriate techniques and materials
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development effective instructional strategies classroom management learning assessment and diagnosis and research related to learning
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing with students staff parents and community
- Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction
- Must be a critical thinker problem solver and respect others
- Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software
- Knowledge of NJ Core Curriculum standards
