The Multi-Domain Assured Navigation & Timing Applications (MANTA) group within the Mission Critical Products organization is currently hiring an Integration and Systems Test Engineer Lead to join our San Diego CA-based Maritime PNT organization in support of the Global Positioning System (GPS)-Based Positioning Navigation and Timing Service (GPNTS) program. The Maritime PNT organization is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to collaborate across disciplines to shape innovative solutions for our US Navy customer.
GPNTS is the next generation real time GPS-based PNT data fusion and distribution system for Navy surface platforms. GPNTS integrates signals from navigation-related sensors and provides users with a reliable and accurate blended navigation solution. The Integration and Systems Test Engineer Lead will perform a technical role maintaining the GPNTS test strings including software/hardware integration loading software/firmware hardware troubleshooting automated test development system test and factory acceptance test. They will also be required to support the local customer site on an as needed basis for installations and trouble shooting.
What You Will Do
Serve as the primary technology and systems test engineer supporting the Test Director and Chief Engineer
Develop and conduct test procedures to validate military GPS-based systems
Manage System Administration for multiple network-based systems
Lead troubleshooting efforts for software hardware and network problems
Work with vendors in support of trouble shooting efforts
Work with Mechanical Electrical and Software engineers to resolve issues
Effectively communicate with leads and teammates on daily tasks to provide team status accomplishments issues and help needed
Develop system and subsystem requirements for complex systems by collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to obtain necessary information for design integration and troubleshooting
Provide support to local customer site as needed
Qualifications You Must Have
Experience with the entire systems engineering lifecycle including requirements definition analysis decomposition systems integration verification and validation
Experience or knowledge on TCP/IP networking & switches/routers electronic circuitry and software languages (LabView Python C)
Experience integrating hardware and software
Hands-on experience in fault diagnosis and resolution in shipboard systems or at customer sites
Experience with requirements management and test development (e.g. DOORS)
Onsite support at customer site as needed required
Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
Active and transferable SECRET clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience evaluating and mitigating technical risks
Experience with the systems engineering lifecycle including requirements definition analysis decomposition systems integration verification and validation and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR)
Experience with reviewing technical drawings and requirements
Prior work experience giving technical briefs or presentations
Familiar with Agile concepts and the Atlassian tool suite (e.g. Jira Confluence)
Competence in peer review processes and configuration/change management
Familiar with military systems; tactics techniques and procedures
Familiarity with DoD customer infrastructure and Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle; preference for US Navy requirements

The salary range for this role is 145600 USD - 276800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
